Boateng wins a corner, he’s looked lively since he came on. The resulting ball is whipped in but Boateng and Falette get in each others way and the ball sails behind for a goal-kick

Mijat Gacinovic goes on a mazy dribble through the Freiburg box, but he just stumbles at the last second and is unable to get his shot off.

We have a capacity crowd at the Schwarzwald-Stadion – it might only hold 24’000 but it sure makes a lot of noise..!!

Freiburg on the back foot, it’s been all Eintracht for the last 10 minutes. Maybe time for Christian Streich to change the play?

Five minutes to go in an action packed, fast tempo half. Freiburg had the ball in the net only to see VAR rule it out for offside and then Frankfurt rattled the SCF bar moments ago. Can someone find a breakthrough before half time?

BAR..! Sebastien Haller goes clean through and unleashes shot that beats Schwolow but the ball cannons back off the bar. So, so close for Eintracht

34 Min:

Haberer chips a lovely ball into the box for Frantz, but he cant get to it in time.

32 Min:

Jetro Willems is beginning to shine in the middle for Frankfurt — Plays a dangerous ball into the Freiburg box but Haller is unable to steer the ball pat Schwolow.

Neither side completely on top, both happy to let their opponents have the ball. As said, it’s a very quick tempo — feels like a goal could come any minute.

Schuster with a deep corner, clears everyone, will need to reign his range in a little.

It’s end to end here in Freiburg, both sides going for it. Neither sitting back, consequently it’s fast but it’s a little haphazard.

Frankfurt have a corner but the referee spots an infringement in the box. Freiburg free kick

Simon Falette misses an open goal for SGE then a break, Tim Kleindienst thinks he’s scored for Freiburg but VAR rules it out for offside, wow — what an action filled 60 seconds

Haller again for Frankfurt, drops his shoulder inside the box and leaves the defender on the floor, cant find the net with the outside of the boot though. Another who’s looking lively.

13 Min:

Janik Haberer is making a nuisance of himself, using possession well in the middle of the park for Freiburg. Early stages but he’s looking very dangerous.

10 Min:

First opportunity on goal for SGE.  Haller goes close but it’s well saved

8 Min:

Janik Haberer slips and loses possession for Freiburg, but instantly wins it back, Gegenpressing at its best.

Mike Frantz is hacked down on the left hand side for Freiburg. Schuster whips the ball in but it goes wide of the right post.
